The grand and modern Stormen Concert Hall opened in 2014 and is famous for its outstanding acoustics and technical facilities, renowned by some of the world’s leading artists. The building consists of four halls, all with state of the art technology. At Stormen you will be working in an exciting cultural city in one of Norways greatest cultural buildings.

About the city

Bodø is situated in Northern Norway and is a booming cultural city. The position

As a lighting technician you will be working with traveling and in-house productions where the latter will challenge your creativity. The position is in the Production Department and the work hours are shift based. The position is full time, 35,5 hour week.

We are looking for a creative, problemsolver who can deliver high quality productions together with your team. Your workday will consist of:

  • Planning of lighting technical production

  • Designing lights for our productions and installations

  • Operating lights and AV for all kinds of productions

  • Providing lighting technical production for visiting technicians

  • Maintenance of technical equipment and other related tasks

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant education or experience in similar work

  • Experience with GrandMA2 lighting consoles and various types of moving fixtures

  • Experience with visualization tools such as Cast WYSIWYG

  • Knowledge in networked devices and systems

  • Experience in live productions

  • An understanding of a broad range of aesthetical expressions

  • Good artistic understanding

  • Good communication skills, and proficiency in both written and spoken Norwegian and English

  • Flexibility and preparedness to handle a variety of tasks

Required personal skills

Since the position is part of a well-oiled team, co-operative skills are especially important for this job.

The ability to take initiative and seeings things through are also essential to the position. As you will meet with artists and managements and other visitors at the concert hall, we expect you to be able to communicate well and have a service minded approach.

Compensation

The salary is set by the collective pay rate standards of Norway.
